The PG&E multifamily programs team attended the 40th Annual Housing California Conference on April 16-17 in Sacramento. Every year, the conference brings together affordable housing developers, community organizations, local governments, and other stakeholders to discuss key affordable housing issues. This year, the sold-out conference had more than 2,000 attendees and more than 60 exhibitors, including energy consultants, program implementers, contractors, financial institutions, and architects.

Our multifamily programs team was excited to share information about PG&E’s energy efficiency opportunities for affordable housing. Attendees heard from experts about portfolio management and preparing for re-syndication and retrofit projects, challenges specific to the rural housing community, and changes to housing policies following the 2018 election cycle. The keynote speakers focused on the meeting’s theme, Shaping the Future, and delivered research on reframing affordable housing issues to achieve cultural change.
